I'm so, so excited that I will officially be taking maternity, newborn, and family sessions at my Fresno studio starting on August 28th.
This has been a long time coming and a dream come true. We will be making our move from the Bay Area to Fresno early August. My studio is being built out in the comfort of my own home. My clients will have a nice, relaxing and comfortable place to come meet with me. I will provide all props and even have dress options for moms unsure as what to wear for those extremely important parent and sibling portraits.
I will have wall art samples to show case all of the products that I am offering so you can image how a beautifully framed canvas or print will enhance your own home. We will meet either in person or video prior to your session to create a color palette to match your own personal taste and design. Often clients love to place portraits from their baby's newborn session in the nursery. My style is classic and timeless and will accent your chosen space for decades to come. I have a wide range of sweet bonnets for both boys and girls, adorable little outfits (even a teddy bear outfit!) along with matching wraps and backdrop layers. I absolutely love planning out my sessions and spending countless hours planning each set up. I encourage parents to be camera ready for themselves. Looking back on my own son's newborn session nearly 5 years ago, I am so very glad we have those images. As parents, and particularly mothers, we are not in the frame often enough! If you have other children we will absolutely capture some portraits of them as well. My newborn sessions are made to involve the whole immediate family.
Typically babies between 5-14 days old are at their sleepiest but, older babies are ok, too! With older babies, I will tend to keep them wrapped so we can capture those beautiful lashes, tiny toes and hands along with that oh-so-sweet face. I ensure the upmost safety for my clients and their sweet new additions to their family. Safety training is so important in new born photography. Babies can get overheated if not checked regularly and it is my job to ensure baby is safe at all times while in my care. I always offer to my clients to sit side by side with me to keep a watchful eye. This baby is your most precious gift, I welcome parent involement. My goal is to have you walk away with a sense of joy and excitement for this time. It can be challenging at times and we know that having such little sleep can be painful but, how amazing is it that by the time you come back for your viewing your baby will have changed dramatically. As a mother, I was so surprised each time I looked back on photos just days old and could see how much my babies had changed.
After your session, I will invite you back to my studio in about a week to two weeks and you will be able to view your entire gallery of fully edited images. This will be a relaxing time to sip some tea or coffee (much needed after those sleepless but, worth it nights!). At that time we will work together to which wall art option suits your home best along with any prints for grandparents, family members and we can also design your birth announcement. I have hand selected each of my vendors to ensure my clients receive the highest quality products. My current favorites are the framed deckled edge prints. They are so unique and the texture of the print and beauty of the hand torn edges is just unparalleled. Of course, framed canvases have such a classic feel, each is designed to match everyone's personal style. In my next blog post I will dive into my vendors with you and go over my wall art and why I have chosen each supplier. My canvases are absolute perfection. Once you see them in person you will see there is not another company in the US that can match them.
As your baby grows I also provide sessions for milestones from 7 to 10 months of age and again at their first birthday. I have built my business around providing a fully inclusive service to my clients. Children grow so quickly
I am very much looking forward to capturing portraits of people in my home town. It will be so nice to be back home. If you have any questions at all, pop me a message or give me a call. I prefer speaking on the phone, seems to be a lost art these days! Below is a photo of the current state of my studio! Do not be afraid, it's nearly done and will be so inviting!
